My name is Maia , I am a 20 year old woman that values respect, kindness and curiosity above all things and I unconsciously incorporate those fundamentals into everything I do. I tend to live life on the positive side and see the beauty in the mundane. I believe that life is the ultimate teacher and there are so many beautiful sights and lessons to be seen if we’re open to perceiving and excepting them. I’m very interested in psychology, philosophy anthropology and sociology. I love learning about how we think and act and coming up with ways to grow as a society. I would consider myself a human rights as well as animal rights activist. I have been vegetarian for 8 years know and I try to volunteer and donate as much as possible. I believe every person, animal, bug and blade of grass have a purpose and meaning in the grand scheme of life and I’d love to do my part by sharing my point of view and and care to others.

I have been babysitting and caring for children since I was 15 years old. I have cared for the children of my neighbour’s and my family as well as volunteered multiple times at my mothers classroom’s as she is an edc/ kindergarten and grade one to teacher. I have looked after children as young as 2 months to kids as old as 16. I also have experience volunteering, organizing and participating in groups such as park and play ( summer youth group aged 6-12), stay and play ( younger summer play group aged 3-5) and the lead program( where you learn confidence, self esteem, community acceptance, nature/ environmental knowledge and leadership skills).
