Greeting! I am Melissa, a 21-year-old passionate childcare professional from Bolton, Ontario. Over the last four years, I've had the pleasure of working as a full-time nanny, babysitter, and special needs caretaker for children of various ages, ranging from newborns to preteens. I am adaptable, well-equipped in handling multiple child-related responsibilities such as cooking, light housekeeping, children's laundry, homework assistance, preparing meals and managing special dietary requirements. As a non-smoker, Canadian citizen who has completed high school, CPR, First Aid, and Child Education courses, I'm capable of addressing the special needs of children, promoting a safe, enjoyable, and stable environment. i have been babysitting and caring for children since the age of 16. i have a wide range of experience caring for children from the ages of 6 months- 12 years old. i also have experience working with children in different settings such as, schools, group homes, day care centres, and the home where the children live. in high school i did a student placement working in a grade one classroom. when i attended college i worked at Alloa Public school working with kindergartens and attending to their emotional well being and promoting healthy development. Another student placement i have worked was in a group home attending to children with emotional and behavioural challenges. My employment experience includes working at a day care as a toddler teacher and maintaining healthy development while attending to children's emotional and physical needs. my most recent job was at the YMCA and i was an CYW and early learning facilitator. i worked with children from the ages of 18 months- 12 years old. i also have experience working with children who have physical disabilities and emotional and behavioural challenges.
