Heidi C.
ECE-Assistant Certified, Experienced Child Care Provider available for part-time and or on call child care. Play-based preschool casual substitute with ECE Assistant certification and extensive experience as a private childcare provider. A mother to two teenagers, I bring a deep understanding of child development and caregiving. Certified in ASL (American Sign Language) & Deaf Studies and Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR. I have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel within Burnaby, Vancouver, Coquitlam, and Port Moody. I am passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. Newborn support: When you have a newborn it is a struggle to find time to have a shower, do laundry or dishes, exercise or take a much needed nap, even more so without an extended support network of family and friends. I can hold, soothe, change, feed or take the baby for a walk while you tend to whatever you need to, or I am happy to help with dishes, laundry, or pet care if the baby is sleeping. New sibling support: Having a new addition to the family is a big adjustment for young children. Having special one-on-one time with your older child is challenging when also having to care for an infant. Depending on your need on a given day I can look after baby’s needs while you have time with your older child/children or I can spend time with them, playing, reading, or going to the park. I love to read, sing songs, listen to music and play with children to support their social-emotional learning and language development. Babysitting: It is so important for new parents to have time for themselves and each other with date nights and for stay-at-home parents to have occasional evenings out with friends. I am available for as needed evening babysitting. When you go out for the evening I will play with, feed, bathe & put your baby or child/children to bed. Or I can stay with your children after you put them to bed for the night. References available upon request.
