Hello New Mommies and/or Families needing help; My name is Kenyaata, and I am a Recent RPN grad; just studying for my final board examination and licensing. Motherhood and caring for family is not something that comes easy, as it can be very exhausting. Being able to ask for help is never something that should be frowned upon, in fact, it should be encouraged. Upon starting my first semester of nursing I found out I was with child. A break from school and a few short months later, I was blessed with my now 3 year old daughter. Although it was a speed bump along the journey, I am proud to say that I welcomed the help as I needed it, and have graduated my program. However, my journey is far from over as I will continue my education to become a Labor and Delivery RN. I am a mother, so I understand and can agree that mothers needs a break or assistance at times, as well as all the worries that come with being a new mother. Aside from my experience as a mother, I have over 200 combined hours volunteering in the Mother-baby ward of WOHS- Etobicoke General Hospital and volunteering as a child care aide.
