My name is Lara, I am a Special Education Teacher at the elementary school level. I have worked with children in different roles and settings for over 10 years. These roles include special needs nanny/caregiver in a private home, specialized educator for children with autism, special needs shadow, adapted swimming assistant, and Fitness Instructor/Leader at a special needs summer camp. I am an avid fitness enthusiast and have my personal training certification. Staying active and fit is a huge part of my life. I love motivating and inspiring others to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I am very passionate about working with children and bringing out the best in every child. In my teaching and interactions with children I use a playful and strengths-based approach to build a rapport with each child.
