I have a gentle, smart, and kind four-year-old who is on the spectrum. This diagnosis is mostly due to his highly sensitive dietary needs and sensory sensitivities. Since birth, I have proven to naturally practice what I now see as something like gentle parenting. There is a very specific way that I communicate with my child and I would request that anyone who is providing care do the same. We moved to Victoria for me to attend UVic Law School, an Indigenous program that is four years instead of three. We are in on campus family housing and I have transitioned my son into feeding therapy and daycare. However, the trusted adult and my best friend may not be able to move to Victoria now to help me once classes start. Thus, I am looking for a nanny that will: - make lunch for daycare - provide get ready for the day morning routine (wake, bathe, brush teeth, fix long hair (yes he has long hair), dress - feed breakfast - drop off to daycare which is literally a 5min walk away as it is on campus - be oncall for any times that he may need to come home if he is overwhelmed - bring him to appointments that I may not be available to as he will increase from food therapy that is at daycare to include speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy - light housekeeping (child's room, child's dishes, family laundry) Since I requested a live in friend I could shift to a live-in nanny if that is something you are interested in and available for. which may adjust duties slightly.
