Hi, I am in search of someone to be a night doula/ night nanny for my newborn. We would need your help very frequently the first few weeks like 3-4 nights a week, 8 hours a night, then this would decrease to fewer nights per week as the baby gets older. I will be getting a scheduled c-section, so the first 6 weeks I anticipate needing the most help. Your role would be caring for the baby (bringing baby to me to feed, diaper change, swaddling, getting baby back to sleep). I just want you to be aware that I have a 2.5 year old. He is in daycare 5 days a week full-time, and my husband plus my parents will be around to be with him in the evenings for the first few weeks. My husband will attend to him if he wakes up during the night but it is important that he gets to know you and feels comfortable with you before the baby is born (could do a few baby sitting sessions at $25 an hour with him before hand).
We do not have an extra bedroo, m so you would have to sleep on our pull out couch in the living room or on a mat in my husband's office.
This job could transition to occasional childcare during the day as the baby gets older, like 4 hours a few times a week, but the priority right now is the nighttimes.
Must haves
- experience with newborns
- first aid certified
