Responsibilities Based in a private residence in Coal Harbour, the successful candidate will: - Communicate in French with the children at all times. - Morning routine: prepare breakfast, and transport to school - Organize activities with children (indoor and outdoor) and organize drop off/pick up for their sports/activities - Some light household duties such as children’s laundry, tidying and inventory of items for children’s food etc - Work with the team to ensure the best care is provided and each member is supported - Build meaningful relationships with all children, while maintaining and nourishing an environment respectful of children’s needs and strengths - Create a nurturing environment and learning experiences that support and encourage children’s individual physical, social and cognitive development Requirements - 2+ years of childcare experience - Strong understanding of child growth and development - Highly organized, ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities - Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate an asset - Must be able to handle a variety set of tasks with confidence - Clean BC drivers license- vehicle provided - A high degree of professionalism and open communication with all other staff - Criminal Record Clearance is a must - Valid First Aid/CPR preferred
