Seeking a regular part-time babysitter to provide after-school care for two boys, ages 13 and 8. Days/times: Monday to Friday, 3:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. with the occasional opportunity to work full days during school breaks. Location: Davisville and Mount Pleasant (four bus stops or a 15-minute walk from Davisville Subway). Key responsibilities: - picking up some sports gear (i.e. soccer ball, baseball gloves, etc.) from house and meeting kids in schoolyard - supervising outdoor play for an hour or more after school (except during rain or extreme cold) - engaging kids in play/sports - escorting kids home and to/from play dates - supervising occasional play dates in our home - engaging kids in activities in our home (i.e. games, crafts, reading, etc.) - preparing after school snacks - loading/unloading dishwasher and keeping entryway tidy - prompting homework completion Seeking someone who is active, who enjoys being outdoors, playing sports and engaging with children. Must be responsible, reliable, nurturing and organized. Basic knowledge of first aid. Cell phone is an asset. References, photo ID and proof of address will be required for job offer.
