I’m looking for someone kind and patient to help care for my 9 year old. She is going into grade 5. This position is about 25 hours/week, for after school pick up, homework supervision, transport to programs and some home care assistance like picking up groceries or running minor errands while my daughter is in school or at a program. I need someone firm, supportive, encouraging and who can be fun and playful and creative with things to do when there is no homework or program. I also need someone flexible who can stay later in the evening once or twice per week as needed. My preference is university educated, in education, kinesiology, nursing or other similar professional designation with personal experience in team sports. I’m looking for someone who understands that learning takes time and that hard work should be balanced with fun too. Healthy habits are important, again balanced with an enjoyment of life (for example, ice cream after dinner is fine as long as a healthy dinner was eaten).
