About the position: - Part-time (10 hrs/week), 3 days/week, $25/hr - 1 year contract with possibility of extension - We are in the process of moving/renovating so position will be located near: -- Sep 2023-Feb 2024 (approx): Dundas & Lansdowne -- Feb 2024 (approx) & beyond: Bloor & Ossington - We have 2.5 and 5 year old fun-loving kids! We also will have a newborn in October, however the position is to primarily help with the two older children/support as needed. - You may be asked to; prep food and feed kids; take kids on outings to parks; play with kids, do crafts with kids, help SK with homework (rare); do related household tasks such as tidying up after kids; toileting help; occasionally putting the kids to bed if needed. About you: - Super kind, loving and warm - Gentle, respectful and positive approach to caregiving - Inclusive, 2SLGBTQ+-friendly - Enjoy being outdoors, planning fun activities, creative (our oldest in particular loves arts & crafts) - First aid/CPR certified, police check, references - Pro vaccination - we will have a newborn at home so it's very important you are up-to-date on your routine immunizations + seasonal (COVID-19, flu, etc) - OK with dogs (we have a small, very friendly border terrier, low shed) - Experience as an ECE is a bonus
