Looking for a nanny/household manager for our family with four children (ages twins 2, 5 & 7), located in Steveston, BC, beginning December 2022. Hourly needs between 30- 40 hours. Primary responsibility: caring for our twin daughters. Watching the twins while I drive the older boys to after school activities, preparing or supervising preparation of after-school snacks; supervising and participating in crafts, reading, homework, imaginative play, park and beach visits, etc. Mom works from home and when she isn’t working she prefers to be with the kids and have assistance with meal prep, cooking and cleaning. Secondary responsibilities: household management, including household organization (organizing toys, books, craft supplies, kitchen, linens, etc.; alerting family to need for replenishment of any supplies); shopping and other errands; housekeeping (changing beds, folding laundry, tidying, emptying/loading dishwasher, supervising/directing weekly housecleaning services); and miscellaneous. We have a house cleaner who comes twice a month so daily clean up is required but deep cleaning is not needed. We need: patience, calm and compassion; excellent organization and pro-active approach; strong communications skills; great imagination and love of play; sense of humour Compensation: $15-$20 per hour; 4 weeks paid vacation per year.
