Starting September 2024 I am looking for care for my son. I will need overnight care from 5:15pm - 8am and weekend/holiday care from 7:15am-6pm. This will be on a rotating schedule. It will be 1-2 overnight shifts on a rotating schedule (one week it would be mon/tues nights and the next week it would be tues/wed nights). Between 4-6 nights in a month. Same with the weekend days, I will generally only need 2-3 weekend days in a month. On average I would need only 6-7 shifts covered a month, a few months more or less, to a max on 9. the majority being the overnight shift. We have a comfortable pull out couch in the living room. I would prefer to average out the time and just pay a monthly amount, because the majority of the time would be during sleeping hours and because I am a single parent I am looking to pay around $15/hr. With the time I need it would roughly be $1250 each month every month regardless of work 3 shifts or 7. I would be able to give you the break down of what shifts were needed for basically the entire year, with maybe a few adjustments here and there. With the hours I need you can still work a full or part time job during the week. I would of course prefer to have only one person for everything but I do understand that could potentially be a challenge, although you would know way ahead the schedule and its only on average 6 shifts a month I don't think it would be a HUGE commitment for any one person. You would be responsible for meals (I will provide groceries and rough meal plan), bed time routine, and bringing my son to scheduled activities. You would need to have your own vehicle or I am comfortable with you taking my son places with public transport or biking/walking if close. I would like to start meeting candidates in the new year to find the right fit, especially because of the over night shifts I need to make sure we have the right person. I would like to start meeting people and having you take care of my son a few hours in a week to see compatibility and once we have found the right person I would offer the role starting most likely in September 2024, potentially an earlier start date.
