We are looking for a loving part-time caregiver to join our family this fall to help care for our young girls (2 and 8) in school or daycare from 8:40 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. daily. This role primarily involves after-school care and coordination/facilitation of activities (in and out of the house) from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Also, light housework and meal preparation would be required. This role is offered on a live-out basis. This role may be ideal for someone with other morning / daytime commitments, a flexible work schedule, or who is studying.
We have a fun, loving, and friendly home dynamic where we look to include our caregiver as part of the family. Our girls are kind, active, bright, and respectful (though I'm sure all parents say that about their own kids).
In our home, we emphasize interactive learning and developing healthy lifestyle habits for the kids (e.g., eating and exercising). Also, we love to expose our children to other cultures and languages, so other language speakers are encouraged to apply. We look to our caregiver as another parental figure in the home that will help guide our children's academic, intellectual, psychological, and moral development. Raising our children is all about teamwork!
Further, as a busy household, we need some help preparing dinners in the evening for our family and are happy for you to join us as well! Some light housework would also be required, including laundry, tidying up the kitchen and the girls’ toys, etc.
Our home is a 14-minute walk from our kids' school but is a quick 5-minute drive away. Note: A driver's license is required for this position. Ideally, you will have your own vehicle as our own jobs keep us on the move with our vehicles.
We also have two amazing dogs that require some attention throughout the day. For instance, walking our younger, more active dog before picking up the kids would be helpful.
Note that only candidates who can currently legally work in Canada will be considered for this role. We look forward to hearing from you!
Many thanks,
Lindsay, Dave, and Family
