A private household is looking for a live-in Nanny/Family Assistant to provide assistance for 3 school aged children ages 15, 13 and 11 year old. The 13 year old has special needs and has down syndrome and requires special attention. They all go to school in the fall. I have an extra vehicle for your use to assist the children with getting them to school as needed, to run errands, grocery shop, etc. I offer you a private bedroom and bathroom and plenty of room in our spacious home. Qualifications: Minimum 3 year’s experience with special needs children Valid Driver’s License Prior Experience as a Family assistant is an asset. Criminal Record Check required. Reliable and honest Able to take initiative. Flexibility a must Duties required: Someone who can do a little of everything as there are so many tasks around the household such as: • Prepare breakfast in mornings and help get kids out o school. • Prepare lunch if kids are home. • Light housekeeping/making beds, changing linens. • Laundry (organize/sort, fold, and put away). • Cooking (meal preparation, able to make menus, etc.) for family. • Supervise children. • Administer any medications as required. • Perform age-appropriate activities with children, i.e. board games, etc. • Manage the household’s schedules and calendars. • Running errands and performing necessary tasks. • Shopping for food, supplies and other requested items.
