I’m looking for a nanny to watch my one year old son, and occasionally my 6 year old who is in grade one at Pauline Haarer. The position I’m interested in filling would be part-time during the day mostly, and possibly some evenings as well. I’m a full-time student in social work and will be at my practicum Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. My partner works from home during the day, and works his other job 2-3 nights a week. We are hoping to get someone to work at least 3 days a week (we’re flexible on the days/hours) so he is able to get his work done at home for our family business. If possible, we would like our nanny to have their own vehicle and be willing to do drop offs/pick ups from school, meal prep/cooking, light house work, etc. Also, it would be beneficial to have knowledge on food allergies, and would be comfortable caring for a child with a severe food allergy. My one year old is severely allergic to tree nuts, and may need his epipen administered if he consumes/comes in contact with them and goes into anaphylaxis. We’re also staying away from eggs (and anything with eggs in them) as we await to for some tests for an egg allergy, which is less severe than the tree nut allergy. I’m hoping to find someone who knows what to look for if he does go into anaphylactic shock, and how to properly use an epipen. Please message me if this position sounds right for you!
