We are looking for a babysitter for our 2 year-old son and 5 year-old daughter, and would like to find someone reliable with whom our kids can bond and build a relationship with over time. Jobs, depending on your availability, would include occasional babysitting on the evenings, weekends, and potentially during the week (if one kid is sick and needs to stay home from school). Responsibilities would include playing with our kids, keeping them safe, comfortable, happy, fed, and potentially picking them up from and/or dropping them off at school/daycare (via public transportation/within walking distance). Requirements: - References required. Experience watching more than one young child at a time is preferred. - Can start ASAP, and is able to spend some time this summer getting to know the kids. - We need care for our daughter at the end of of August (during school integration week), and prefer to hire someone who is available to help the mornings of August 29 - 31, and afternoon of Sept. 1. - We are American, and prefer that our babysitter is able to communicate with us in English. (We can also speak Spanish and Chinese. Our kids are both fluent in French and English, and go to French schools.) - Must be comfortable around dogs. We have a very sweet, medium sized dog. She is 10 years old, and a non-shedding, hypoallergenic breed. - Must be a non-smoker. We live in the Plateau, minutes from the Mont-Royal metro station.
