Dedicated Childcare Assistant with Opportunity for Household Support in Outremont Our Outremont-based family is seeking a devoted and nurturing Part-Time Childcare Assistant to support our two daughters, ages 4 and 7. This role prioritizes childcare but also offers the opportunity to assist with household maintenance activities and healthy food preparation for candidates interested in a more comprehensive role. Primary Responsibilities (Childcare Focus): Engage in meaningful and developmentally appropriate activities with our children. Manage school and daycare pickups on Monday and Thursday afternoons (possibly other days depending on work schedules and if you are flexible - with advance notice). Assist with meal preparation, focusing on children’s needs. Guide the children through their bedtime routines until a parent gets home. Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for our daughters. Secondary Responsibilities (Optional, for Interested Candidates, additional hours flexible): General house cleaning and maintenance (could also include outdoor duties, gardening, yard maintenance and other tasks such as organizing, seasonal deep cleaning etc.... Assistance with food preparation, including shopping, washing, and cleaning food, with a focus on maintaining a healthy, mostly plant-based diet. This may include tasks like juicing, making nut milk baking, lunch prep etc. Requirements: Proven experience in childcare, with a nurturing, playful, patient and respectful demeanor. Fluent in English and/or French. Ability to conduct household tasks efficiently. Availability on Monday and Thursday afternoons and evenings; flexibility for occasional weekends, occasional early morning drop offs or other days of the week - depending on our work schedules and your availability. Preferred Qualifications: First Aid and CPR certification. Willingness to engage in household maintenance and food preparation tasks (optional).
