My name is Sara and I am a working mom with a husband named Tyler who also works full time. We have a beautiful baby girl Elvi who is now ten months old and crawling around and almost walking! I am looking for an on-call/casual nanny that can help me out when I am visiting my family in Vancouver. Below is a description of the type of care I am looking for. Responsibilities include providing Elvi with: • Nurturing and loving care; • Structured learning and development (meaning that on a monthly and/or weekly basis, discussing with myself and Tyler what we will all be focusing on teaching her in accordance with her age, capacity, and curiosity); • Meal prep and feedings as she is now eating solids as well as formula; • Any cleaning related to Elvi such as her laundry as and when needed, washing her bottles and any dishes used for her meal prep/feedings; showing her how to organize her toys etc.; • Helping with sleep training and/or maintaining sleep structure/times for naps; • Suggesting any learning materials or equipment that can help her grow and learn more effectively; • Helping to socialize her by teaching values such as sharing, patience, etc., as well as playing with other kids where possible; • Facilitating video calls with grandparents when needed; • Ensuring she does not have any screen time but instead, engages people, nature, objects, etc.; Overall, we are engaged parents but most definitely not “helicopter parents” so we would need someone that can make decisions on their own but also moves together with us as we are all nurturing Elvi! It would be preferable if you are First Aid and Infant CPR certified. Exceptions can be made for someone who is the right fit but requires this training.
