Our busy household is looking to hire an additional outstanding nanny part-time for a one year contract beginning in February, 2017 with the possibility of renewal. You have some education and/or experience in a career related to childhood development plus CPR/AR credentials, and you can swim. You have access to reliable transportation to get to and from our home. You have a valid license and are comfortable driving our SUV to and from playgroups. Your focus will be on providing a warm, engaging, fun, and caring environment to an incredibly sweet, happy, and loving 1.5 year old boy. We expect that you will facilitate/participate with our child in FUN, CREATIVE, and developmentally appropriate activities: reading, painting, storytelling, games, singing, clapping, dancing etc. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, making breakfast, lunch, and snacks, attending local playgroups, lessons and playdates, and providing daily outdoor activities (even in winter). Screen time is not permitted. Finally, you are punctual, hardworking, trustworthy, able to focus your attention to tasks without distraction, reliable, and you can communicate effectively, efficiently, and professionally. Cellphone use is not permitted during work hours. The position will be a minimum of 20-28 daytime hours per week. Hourly rate is $17/hr. Pay minus taxes, CPP, and EI will be issued semi-monthly.
