A little bit about what we are looking for. We are a family with 3 children aged 4-9. The most important consistent aspect we are looking for is after school care and meal preparation preparing supper (we will provide instructions as needed) and lunches for the children’s next school days. Two days a week would involve meeting kids at school and taking them to their piano lessons and then bring them home after. On other days it may involve keeping the children active and/or getting them to do their homework. Other regular responsibilities would include light cleaning such as tidying the kitchen and children’s playroom, and laundry (including folding and putting away). Depending on hours/week worked there may be other responsibilities such as picking up pre-ordered groceries etc….. We are happy to have someone either part time who is flexible, or to have someone full-time (40 hrs/week). With 3 children (1 day care and 2 in school) and in the current context, we expect that there will be some cancellations of school or our kids may need to stay home with mild illness at times and we would need someone to care for the kids those days. In the event that schools are cancelled for longer periods we would need someone that can be available full time. In terms of more specifics, we would ideally like someone who can stay until at least 5pm (or 6 PM on Tuesdays). Fridays we are very flexible and are not necessarily required.
