House manager needed for family in Currie Barracks areas of Calgary with an element of childcare for boys approaching 14 and 8 years old. Willingness to work some level of flexible hours required due to parents work schedules (father occasional business travel or extended office hours, and mother works shifts at hospital). Very occasional overnight cover may be required (i.e. 5 to 10 nights per year). Needs to be enthusiastic about children and wanting to engage proactively with them. Our boys become increasingly more self-sufficient as they grow and therefore ensuring their welfare and safety is the main priority with regard to the childcare element of this job. Ability to drive is essential and own vehicle (needs to be in good condition) is preferable. Willingness to clean house, do shopping, prepare dinner a few times a week in Mon - Fri timeframe) would be seen as an advantage. Willingness to do some ironing would be seen to be an advantage.
