Job Description: We are seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of House Manager and Part-time Childcare Provider in our household. This position requires someone reliable, organized, and attentive to detail, who can effectively manage household tasks while also providing after-school care for our children. Responsibilities: House Management: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and tidy home environment. Prepare and cook meals, including lunch prep, adhering to dietary preferences and restrictions. Manage laundry tasks, including washing, folding, and ironing clothes. Organize closets and other storage areas to optimize space and accessibility. Take out garbage and recycling as needed. Change bed sheets and towels regularly. Ensure adequate supplies of hand soap and toilet paper are available and replenished. Make beds and tidy up bedrooms as necessary. Run errands or do grocery shopping if required. Childcare: Pick up older daughter from the bus stop after school. Attend to the children's needs upon their return home from school or daycare. Prepare and serve snacks or meals for the children. Assist with homework and provide academic support as needed. Help the children get ready for extracurricular activities, such as preparing swimming bags. Starting August 2024, pick up younger child from school at noon. Provide full-day childcare on days when school is out, if availability allows. Qualifications: Prior experience in a similar household management or childcare role preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation for picking up children from school and other activities. First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required). Flexibility in schedule to accommodate occasional changes or additional hours.
