We are looking for a Nanny to join our family as a live-in. We are a family of 5 with 3 children ages 18 months, six years and 9 years of age. We also have a sweet and energetic dog who is very much a part of our family. We are looking for a dynamic and flexible person to provide childcare as well as support with general household duties. Specifically, we are looing for a caring person to provide childcare for our 18 month old daughter 2-3 days per week. This would include all tasks required to care for a toddler including: feeding, putting down for nap, changing diapers, outdoor play, etc. We also have 2 school aged children who will require before and after school care including drop-off and pick up. Additional tasks would include preparing meals some days, prepping school lunches and snacks. The children’s school is in close walking distance from our home. We would require the successful candidate to be engaged in household cleaning and other household duties. Some of these duties would include: making the family dinner, shopping for groceries, running occasional errands, walking the dog, house cleaning (light and heavy), family laundry, outdoor duties all seasons (weeding, raking, shoveling etc). Start date: September 2023 (some flexibility with start date) Time: 40 hours per week, 2-3 days structured childcare with some flexibility for how the other hours would be distributed throughout the week and weekend. Accommodations: we will provide a private bedroom and a newly renovated private bathroom in the basement of our home with a private side door entrance and a basic kitchenette Requirements •Previous experience as a Nanny or Babysitter •Excellent understanding of child development in different age stages •Ability to come up with creative ideas to educate and engage children •Multitasking skills •A pleasant and patient personality •Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, in the evenings and full days •High school diploma; further training in child development is a plus •First aid certification is a plus • Vulnerable persons and criminal record check
