We are looking for a nanny/household manager for our family. We are located in North Burnaby near Duthie and Kitchener and we have a daughter who is 8 and a son who is 10. Start date is ASAP. Hours would likely be 7:30-9 am and 1-5 pm from Mondays to Fridays, but we are open to have partial coverage for some mornings and afternoons to fit your schedule. Primary responsibility: before and after-school childcare, including drop offs and pick-ups; preparing breakfast and lunches for school and preparing after-school snacks and dinner, supervising and participating in crafts, reading, homework, imaginative play, park and play dates, etc. Also, preparing kids for after school activities (currently piano, dance, gymnastics, karate, and soccer) and packing bags for the activities. Mom works primarily from home and is usually around to help with after school care if needed. Secondary responsibilities: household management, including household organization (organizing toys, books, craft supplies, kitchen, linens, garage, offices, etc.; alerting family to need for replenishment of any supplies, watering plants and outdoor gardens); shopping and other errands; housekeeping (making meals, changing beds, cleaning washrooms, running load of laundry, tidying, emptying/loading dishwasher and supervising kids performing chores) and miscellaneous (receiving packages, being present for services, etc.).
