We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week), short-term nanny for our 11-month-old daughter and almost 3-year-old son starting May 3. I am returning to work and will be out of the house and my husband will out of the house doing his practicum except for the last 3 weeks of the position when he will be doing coursework online from home. Minor meal prep and kitchen clean-up/tidying of toys will be required.
Hours: 7:30 am-4 pm Monday-Friday most weeks (some weeks will only be 4 days required - as per school schedule/holidays).
Location: South Burnaby near Edmonds Station - 5-minute walk
The nanny’s duties will include:
Changing diapers
Serving meals and snacks + clean up
Engaging in fun and educational activities
Taking the kids outside for fresh air once per day rain or shine
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Over 19 years old
Minimum 2 years of child care experience
2 child care references
CPR and first aid certificate (required prior to hire date)
Criminal record check (required prior to hire date)
We expect the nanny to be COVID-safe and take reasonable precautions as mandated by BC’s Provincial Health Officer in their daily life.
Compensation: CAD $18/hour
Free on-site parking is available
Start date: May 3 full time, but a few part-time days will be required at the end of April leading up to the full-time start date to get the children accustomed to you before the job becomes full time
