We are looking for an energetic, patient and kind, part-time nanny for our family, averaging 20 hours per week, some weeks up to 30 hours. I would prefer part time but could accommodate a full time position if you're willing to do more housework/home organization/errands. Two energetic, friendly, outgoing boys, age 7 and 5. Both boys are in school full time and will need daycare (and occasionally directly from school) pickups and drop offs. Occasionally kids will need to be taken to activities if I don't get home in time (most in walking, biking or bus distance if you don't have a car. There will be adequate notice). Some evenings up to 8:30pm (4-5 times per month; this will require getting the boys to bed), one weekend per month (7:30am to 6pm), one overnight every 2-3 months (usually home between 12:30-2 am. Only once in the past year was home at 4; I am on call until 8 am and have only once had to go back in).
I will need backup for school PA days and sick days.
Meal prep, dishes, kids laundry, and keeping the kitchen and play area tidy. (There is more housekeeping work available if you would like more hours).
Driver's license not required but will be helpful. Kids school/daycare/school bus stop are in walking distance, but one of my kids schools (he goes by bus) is not walkable.
The boys like to be kept busy with being outside, going to playgrounds, biking/walking/running/playing, playing in the snow, tobogganing, crafts, building, lego, playdough, board and card games.
We do have a very friendly cat. Non-smokers only.
