My name is Josée and I'm a bilingual (French and English) Bachelor of Education student based in downtown Ottawa.
With over 12 years of experience in customer service and hospitality, I’ve always thrived in people-centered environments. Whether it's training new staff at the Westin Hotel or guiding students in a classroom, my passion for helping others learn and succeed shines through everything I do.
I come from a small rural Francophone community in northeastern Ontario, and being Franco-Ontarian is a fundamental part of who I am. I’ve completed all my education—including both of my bachelor’s degrees—in French, and I’m committed to preserving and promoting the French language through education here in Ontario.
As a future teacher, my mission goes far beyond helping students memorize facts. I want to nurture critical thinking, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of how subjects connect to one another and to real life. I believe in creating learning experiences that are meaningful, engaging, and personalized to each student’s needs.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll likely find me staying active—whether it’s practicing yoga, enjoying a good workout, or discovering new hiking trails. I’m also a passionate home cook, a nature lover, and a proud cat mom to my sweet white kitty, Angèle.
Tutoring gives me the opportunity to connect one-on-one with learners, supporting them at their pace and celebrating every “aha!” moment along the way. I’m here to help build confidence, encourage growth, and make learning enjoyable.
I offer a flexible schedule and am happy to adapt to your needs. If you're looking for a patient, caring, and enthusiastic tutor who truly values student success, I would love the chance to support you or your child’s learning journey.
My name is Josée, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa, on track to become a Certified Ontario Teacher by May 2026. I hold a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and have a strong passion for teaching, especially in the areas of literature and the arts at the middle school level. I currently work as a Hostess at the Westin Hotel, where my passion for teaching truly came to light. I naturally stepped into the role of team trainer, and it was incredibly rewarding to see my colleagues grow and succeed with my guidance. That experience reaffirmed how much I enjoy helping others learn and thrive. Since 2024, I’ve worked as a Daycare Educator in an elementary school, and I’ve also had the joy of teaching ESL to children aged 3 to 7 through virtual platforms back in 2019. In April 2025, I completed my first teaching internship in a Grade 7 classroom, where I taught French, History, and Geography. These experiences have deepened my love for guiding young learners and watching them grow in confidence and understanding.
