Hello, my name is Janice, and I am a woman from Edmonton. I am looking for a full-time Caregiver/Companion role, with a preference for a live-out arrangement. I am available for work any day of the week, morning to night, and can start working immediately. Even though I don't carry any professional working experience, I provide daily care for my 76-year-old mother, which has illuminated my passion for healthcare and driven me to seek formal employment in this field. My personal experience makes me a compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated caregiver. I am willing to help in any way possible to ensure the comfort and well-being of my clients. I'm able to travel and relocate for work and possess a driver's license. While I don't have a personal vehicle to use on the job, I am capable of accomplishing various tasks including housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning/preparation, and running errands. I am well-equipped to care for patients affected by Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Cancer, Stroke, Diabetes, and those in Hospice Care or bedridden. Regardless of the condition, I am ready to provide thoughtful and diligent care. In addition, I am a non-smoker and comfortable working with children with disabilities. Although I can't swim, I am qualified in Caregiving/Companionship and am fluent in English. I am a proud Filipino citizen and look forward to contributing positively to health care roles in Retirement Homes, Home Health Care, and Clinic/Hospital settings. Thank you for considering me. I have a 76 yrs old mother that I am taking care of since my father passed away. I can be helpful in any way that my client will be comfortable in her life.

Hello, My name is Kayla I am originally from Cambridge Bay NU. I moved here to Edmonton to get a change of scenery and see what Edmonton has to offer. I have now been here 5 years and couldn't be more happy with this move. For many years I have dedicated myself to volunteering my time with Cambridge Bay Wolverines basketball. I have coached both boys and girls in the Elementary and High School. I wanted to lead a positive path for my athletes, keep them going to school, doing fundraising for them to travel to attend basketball tournaments and basketball camps during the summer. As fundraising we have done teen dances, bake sales, bingos, lunch and dinner sales. It was tough for me to say goodbye to my athletes but in all my years of coaching I now have 3 athletes who are now playing for colleges here Alberta and Ontario. I could have not been more proud as a coach and especially being from a very small community like mine. Working for a private family just off Highway 14. June 2018 to Aug. 2023 I have been looking after a patient who needs around the clock care. My duties as a caregiver is bathing, getting dressed, making bed, brushing teeth, feeding through out the day, doing activities, going for a walk, help get down for a nap, and end the day with putting into bed. While the patient is down for nap or still asleep in the morning I would do some light housekeeping sweeping and mopping upper and lower levels of the house, taking out the garbage, and feeding the dogs and cats. I would get the day ready by prepping breakfast and plan for activities to keep busy throughout the day.
