Upon my arrival in Canada as an international scholar, I was eager to embark on my academic journey in the Business program. Given my status as an international student, the financial responsibility of my education was squarely left on my shoulders. I was acutely aware of the necessity to not only excel acadically, but to also take on a job that would support my scholastic endeavors. This led to my first job in the homecare and babysitting industry in Canada, a sector I have been dedicated to since I first began. In preparation for this role, it was mandatory that I undertake First Aid Certificate training. This course was instrumental in equipping me with vital knowledge and understanding of emergency medical protocols. After receiving my certification, I was fortunate enough to secure full-time employment with a family, a post I maintained for an impressive span of two years. During my tenure, I was tasked with the care of their two sons, one aged 10 and another 7. The eldest son was diagnosed on the autism spectrum, providing me with the challenge and blessing of caring for a special needs child. However, our time together was abbreviated by their impending return to their homeland in the United States. And so, we had to say our goodbyes - a regrettable moment, as I had grown attached to the family. Currently, I am entrusted with the care of a 24-year-old non-verbal patient who is living with cerebral palsy. This position demands my flat-out dedication. My responsibilities are manifold, ranging from preparing her meals, administering her medication, assisting with personal hygiene, maintaining her catheter and gt tube, organizing her belongings, and other light housekeeping duties. Each responsibility herein is crucial in ensuring her comfort and wellbeing. Despite the fulfilling challenges and rewards that this job brings, I have reached a junction in my life where imminent change beckons. I am on the cusp of relocating to Winnipeg, Manitoba, which compels me to seek out new job opportunities that align with my future locale. This impending move has thus motivated my search for new employment. I am a caregiver for a 24 year old non-verbal and handicapped patient at the comfort of her home. I was a lived-in caregiver. I administer medicines, keep track of her catheter and gt tube, provided her feed and attended all of her other needs.

I am a 32 year old female, engaged no children and one fur baby, a lovely little Yorkie-pom boy. I enjoy fishing and hiking. Being outdoors and near a body of water is the ideal relaxation time for me. Health care was introduced to me at the age of 14 by helping around our family's care home facility in Surrey, British Columbia. I started by helping around in the kitchen, serving meals and providing companionship to the residents. At age 17, I moved here, in Winnipeg and continued my volunteer work at my aunt's nursing homes and I have been working in this field ever since. • Provide direct care, personal assistance and support to client’s daily needs • Assist client with daily activities; bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting • Support dietary aide, medications, book appointments, and transport to events and Doctor’s appointments
