I would like to introduce myself. My name is Michelle, a proud native of the Philippines. I stand proudly at 5’2 tall, and I'm 41 years young. My life revolves around being a dedicated, loving, and hands-on single mom to my 15-year-old son, who is the joy and sunshine of my life. I've been residing in the beautiful country of Canada since 2013 and have wholeheartedly embraced its vibrant culture and warm-hearted people. When I first ventured into the workforce here, I started as a nanny. This was an enriching experience wherein I took on the rewarding challenge of caring for and raising children. However, my passion and expertise extend beyond that. On weekends, I dedicated my time to looking after an elderly lady. She was a delightful personality, full of humor and laughter despite her chronic struggle with asthma. What amazed me even more was her razor-sharp memory even at her age. Working along with her for two years was indeed a journey filled with priceless memories and experiences. Time changes everything, and after she returned to her eternal abode, I found a new companion. I was blessed to meet a fantastic woman hailing from Mississauga who was unfortunately battling bone cancer. Our journey was cut short due to her demise after six months, which was indeed a difficult time. But as the saying goes, 'life goes on', I marched forward to find another lovely soul. This time, it was a lively Italian lady, bestowed with intelligence and an active lifestyle. Her family, a kind and caring group, and her children, impeccably mannered, were an absolute pleasure to interact with. I spent roughly four fulfilling years with this great woman. Regrettably, she was later diagnosed with acute leukemia, and this, coupled with her previous struggle with Parkinson's disease, was a tough challenge for her. Presently, my journey in life has brought me to a point where I am seeking another wonderful individual who would like to share their life and experiences with me. Whether you need care, companionship, support, or want to share your wisdom and experiences, I am happy to be there for you. Hi.. I’m a dedicated person, I always care and always take all the responsibilities and make safe my patient always as much as I can.. Making them happy and active i a must.. at the end of the day it’s on me to make her day happy and safe always…

My name is Laurice , and I am a compassionate caregiver with an unwavering commitment to provide quality care to seniors. My background was initially in nursing, having started a nursing program in my native country, the Philippines. This foundation was subsequently reinforced after moving to Canada by securing a Caregiving Certificate. After earning permanent residency in Canada, I decided to further pursue this passion and enrolled in the Personal Support Worker program at Centennial College. Currently, I am acquiring practical health care experience through my clinical placement at Unity Health Providence. Although I am a newcomer in the field of professional caregiving with less than a year of formal experience, I am eager to apply my training and skills in providing assistance in a variety of duties such as housekeeping, laundry, meal planning, and personal care requirements. I can help with walking, bathing and grooming, toileting, and range of motion exercise. I can also accompany patients to appointments, plan visits, and outings. I am available for work from Sunday to Wednesday all day, and Monday evenings and nights. I am seeking a part-time employment and open to both live-in and live-out arrangements in Scarborough. I have been trained to work with patients diagnosed with Parkinson's, Dementia, Diabetes, and other conditions that include visual and hearing impairment. I am equipped to provide the utmost care and supervision to patients with these conditions. I am also proud to say that I am certified in First Aid and CPR. I hold a clean police check record and am a fluent speaker of English and Tagalog languages. I always strive to respect and preserve the dignity of the elderly and those under my care is my utmost goal. I am deeply empathetic, a trait that is greatly influenced by my strong bond with my grandmother. This bond fuels my compassion and dedication to providing the best care and companionship to seniors. I am looking forward to extending my services and care to those in need. Contact information: . I am a PSW student at Centennial College, set to graduate in August 2024. I am currently completing my clinical placement at Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence in Scarborough. Additionally, I hold a caregiver certificate from the Philippines.

I have almost 10 years' experience as a personal support worker in Ontario. In my previous roles, I helped patients in retirement homes and in private home care. I felt fulfilled every time I made them feel better or assisted in some way. I made sure that they get the quality care services they needed. I learned that humour is a personal support worker's greatest asset and time management skills are important. Most elderly people are suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's disease and I know that patients with Alzheimer's disease or dementia can have good and bad days. I would be understanding with the patient and vigilant of their condition. Also, I would ensure that they have the care they need at all times. I would make sure they take their medications and use them according to the prescription. I would also try to reduce distractions to avoid unnecessary confusion. Being a PSW has to be compassionate and empathy to them. Friendly and respectful to gain trust each other. I am a loving, caring, patient, hardworking and trustworthy person. Can work with minimal supervision. I am good at using Hoyer Lift. Follow instructions easily and apply safely. I worked as a private caregiver with different clients in a retirement homes and Home Care. And currently working as a community PSW with Saint Elizabeth Health Care. I assist client with their activities of daily living such as undressing, dressing them up, washing, bathing, mouth care, perineal care and the toilet where necessary. • Assisted the client with mobility problems and other physical disabilities and help in use and care of aids and personal equipment. • Assisted and reminded client of medication as prescribed. • To help them in the promotion of mental and physical activity of every client through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreation. • Performed light housekeeping such as make and change their beds; tidy up rooms; laundry and empty commodes. • To carry out accurately and in a competent manner, instructions from managers and supervisors adhering to the care plans of every client’s needs. And perform such other duties as may reasonably be required. • Reported and recorded any accident or incident which may occur – no matter how minor, whether to the client or the PSW.
