I'm Andy, a warm, creative and experienced woman in her mid-thirties based in Kitchener with a passion for nurturing young minds. With 15 years of experience as a nanny, I have honed the skills needed to provide excellent childcare for children from newborns to over 10 years. Being the second oldest of six children, I graduated from an informal childhood training into a professional career in childcare.
I am comfortable with a broad range of duties from cooking and light housekeeping to running errands and even homework help. Additionally, I provide focused tutoring and can readily meet the physical needs of the children in my care such as baths, dressing, and supervision. I firmly believe that a child's caregiver should not only be a devoted provider but also a friend, and I strive to form meaningful connections with the kids in my care.
Education is important to me so I will incorporate learning as much as possible . I am also capable of pet care, notably dogs, as I share a great bond with my own furry friend, Zoey.
A stickler for safety, I hold certifications in CPR and First Aid. Despite not having my own vehicle at the moment, I possess a valid driver's license and am open to using an Uber or public transport for school runs or errands. I embrace dietary requirements your children may have, and will adhere to any restrictions or special rules.
My availability spans from mornings to nights on Sundays, Fridays and Saturdays, and evenings to nights from Monday to Thursday. I am flexible to a Part-Time, Long-term working term, and I am ready to start immediately. I am open to a Live-Out arrangement and can meet your needs as a Nanny, Nanny/Tutor, Mother's Helper, Babysitter or Nanny/Housekeeper. My preferred maximum number of children to work with is four.
I speak English fluently, am a non-smoking individual, and am permitted to work in Canada, with proper documentation provided. Rest assured, I have undergone a police check for safety concerns.
