I am a 23-year-old full-time student currently attending the University of Waterloo. I come from Pickering, ON, where I used to work as a caretaker at the EDUKIDS daycare centre. Due to my previous employment, I have extensive experience and training when working with all age groups of children, from infants as young as 6 months to pre-teens of 12 years. I was also given CPR, First-Aid, and infant training and prepping healthy and affordable meals for the children. Before my EDUKIDS employment, I would babysit for friends and family within the Durham Region and am very good at my job. I am very energetic and positive, which helps when playing with younger children. Despite my light-heartedness and playful personality, I also know when to be direct with children in a positive and corrective manner to ensure their best behaviour and safety.
As a part-time student, I am looking for a well-scheduled fit, as timing and scheduling are crucial to ensuring a good ordered flow of the day. I can also ensure all my responsibilities are being met to the same expected standard. That being said, as a human being, I also know life is the only one that genuinely dictates time and can be flexible to those moments. With four different majors, I have a robust amount of education equipped for tutoring on all subjects, excluding high school-level math and science. I also hold a bilingual French certificate, which can be beneficial for families looking to introduce their children to a second language. I live in central uptown Waterloo, which is close to the Ion train and bus terminal, which makes transportation to and from Waterloo-Kitchener homes a breeze. I also hold my G-class driver's license.
I am eagerly looking forward to finding the perfect match with a family that shares my values and vision for childcare. Whether it's a short-term or long-term commitment, I am excited about the possibility of building a strong and nurturing relationship with the right family!

GRADESCHOOLER (5-12 years)
- These children were only during the summertime since they all attended school during fall, winter and spring.
- During the school term, children would come after school and they were served snacks, given 45-60 minutes of homework time. During this time I would help children understand and complete their homework. Once completed children were given the rest of the time of free-play along with 20 minutes of outdoor time.
- During the summer, the children would still be taught by the RA, while also given structure to ensure the children were not overly stimulated. This included interchanging study and playtimes, along with special dates for activities.
