I am a 21 year old responsible, energetic, and caring student currently seeking opportunities to provide exceptional care to children. I come from a very tight-knit family where I am the youngest of three siblings and also the youngest of my twenty-one first cousins. I also have over ten second cousins and counting! My values are shaped by my family; whether it's big Sunday lunches or spending hours talking over coffee, I've developed a strong sense of family closeness and care.
I am a third-year Bachelor's degree student, studying for a bilingual dual-degree in International Studies and Business Administration at York University. Pursuing this degree symbolizes my endless personal accomplishments: to learn and perfect a second language and not limit myself to one knowledge strand. I take pride in my ability to achieve an education, and consider my accomplishments as shared with my mother, who is my biggest supporter.
At the age of 16, I started working as a summer Camp Counsellor, where I supervised groups of 10–20 kids aged 4 to 12 in fun, engaging, and safe environments. The best part of my job was interacting with the kids! I built meaningful connections, encouraged them to try new things, made them feel understood, and enabled them to make their own decisions. Over five years of working, I watched them grow up and become their individual selves. I have experience dealing with challenging behaviours and conflicts and I’m very comfortable interacting with parents, providing updates, and adapting to each family's needs.
Patient, reliable, and radiating a warm, upbeat energy, I strive to ensure children feel comfortable and supported. Whether planning creative activities, assisting with routine meal times, or simply being someone whom they can trust, my goal is to always create a fun and nurturing environment.
Apart from childcare, I enjoy staying active and busy by exploring new places or spending time with friends and family. I have a love for traveling and I collect charms from all the countries I have visited; my goal is to complete my charm bracelet! I would describe myself as dependable, positive, and attentive; a person who truly cares about creating a safe and happy space for children while giving parents peace of mind.
