I'm a caregiver with five years of hands-on experience, especially with seniors, I'm the kind of person who listens first, remembers little details, and always treats every client like their family. Right now, I'm a first-time mom to a 13-month-old, and after a quick maternity break, I'm ready to jump back in. Outside work, I love spending time with my son, learning new hobbies and trying new cooking recipes. Anything that keeps life simple and kind. I'm super organized, quick to learn and stay cool when things get hectic. For me, I just love helping people feel good, strong and happy. If you're looking for someone responsible, warm and ready to go, let's talk. Over the last 5 years, i have cared for folks in 3 different settings. First, at a hospital-style elderly care unit. I supported an immobile woman in her final days- changing diapers, giving and logging meds, checking vitals and breathing, keeping her as comfortable and at peace as possible. Next, i did overnight shifts for a wonderful elderly couple: helping them settle into bed, giving and logging meds, handled bathroom needs throughout the night. In the morning, i would prep breakfast, sort their pills and get them dressed for daytime nurse. Lastly, I supported a senior couple through daily evening routines: prepared meds, meals and snack; Assited with showers, dressing and physical therapy movements. Shared quiet comanionship- watching TV, strolling short walks, or simply chatting over tea- until bedtime handover. After her passing, i continued caring for her husband with the same steady kindness.

My name is Lydia, a 31-year-old woman and a student residing in Brampton. Though I am relatively new to the field of health care with zero years of working experience, I am extremely enthusiastic about starting my journey in this industry. As a certified Allied Health Professional with a college education, I am equipped with knowledge and skills to provide the utmost care to patients. I am capable of performing multiple tasks including housekeeping, meal planning, grocery shopping, assistance with pet care, guidance in walking, and more specialized duties such as Alzheimer's/Dementia care and Parkinson care. My availability encompasses every morning of the week and I can start work immediately. I am seeking a caregiver or companion role on both full-time and part-time arrangements, and am comfortable working in various settings such as home health care and retirement homes. Given my credentials, I am particularly adept to work with patients diagnosed with conditions like Dementia, Stroke, Visual Impairment, Arthritis, Dialysis, Pneumonia, and Parkinson's. As a non-smoker, I can assure a healthy and smoke-free environment. I should mention, however, that I am not capable of providing travel assistance, as I do not possess a driver's license and do not have a vehicle for job use. While I desire to maintain my residence in Brampton, I am open to both live-in and live-out work arrangements per situational requirements. I am also prepared to assist children with disabilities. My fluency in English aids me in maintaining smooth communication with patients and their families. Unfortunately, I lack a current police check but I am willing to obtain the same if necessary. I have a complete dedication to the health and wellbeing of my patients and I look forward to providing care to those in need with utmost respect and empathy. Interacting with patients on a daily basis at the hospital and advising them about their health, creating a strong bond between us.

I am from El Salvador. I speak Spanish and I am married. I have a 32-year-old son and a 34-year-old daughter. I also have two grandchildren, a 7-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. My hobby is going for walks and listening to music. I am very friendly, outgoing, helpful, and understanding. I am a fast learner and enjoy helping others. I am also very respectful. I believe that seniors need good company and a good listener. I worked for a company as a home helper for 4 years before graduating as a PSW in 2018. I continued working in the same company, assisting with grocery shopping and escorting clients to the mall or medical appointments. However, I was laid off during the pandemic. After that, I began working privately for an individual who passed away 3 years ago. I then worked for another lady for almost 2 years until she passed away 2 weeks ago.
