My name is Morganna, and I’m a caring, reliable caregiver with over ten years of experience supporting children and families through healthcare, youth programs, and community work.
I’m a Red Cross Instructor certified to teach over a dozen safety programs — including their 16 hour Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR course — so safety and calm are second nature to me. I’m also a Swim Instructor & Lifesaving Instructor, and I love helping children feel confident in the water through gentle, playful learning.
Whether we’re splashing at the pool, crafting messy masterpieces, or exploring a new park, I bring creativity, patience, and a calm presence to every home. (Think Magic School Bus energy: get messy, make mistakes!) I’m a firm believer that children (and adults!) learn best when they are having fun!

Continuing Education
Starting March 2026, I will begin my Full Spectrum Doula Training (online) with Doula School Canada after being awarded a scholarship for the program. It’s a flexible, part-time course that complements my childcare work and deepens my understanding of early family care. The only dates I’ll be unavailable are March 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 27th, 28th, and 29th — with four of those dates falling on a weekend. I’ll provide plenty of notice to ensure smooth scheduling around those brief training days.
If you’re looking for someone who combines professional safety training with genuine warmth and creativity, I’d love to connect and learn about your family’s needs.
In all my years as a caregiver, I have amassed numerous certificates including being a certified Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, and Red Cross First Aid Instructor. Moreover, I come with a specialty in teaching the Stay Safe and Babysitting Courses. I've had the pleasure of caring for children, starting from delicate infants to spirited teens bracing themselves to become lifeguards. My primary goal remains to help each child attain confidence, safety awareness, and resilience through fun, patience, and play.
I am highly skilled in supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and FAS, approaching each child with empathy, consistency, and creativity. My rich background in healthcare and trauma-informed care enables me to establish calm, predictable routines while leaving room for sensory play, laughter, and exploration.
I’ve had the privilege of teaching Standard First Aid for the Canucks Autism Network, working directly with youth and adults on the spectrum to build confidence, safety awareness, and life skills in a supportive, inclusive environment. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt communication and instruction to meet diverse sensory and emotional needs—skills I bring into every caregiving role
I am also a proud long-standing volunteer with Scouts Canada where I happily engage children (ages 5 — 14) in hands-on adventures— ranging from canoeing to crafts, to hiking, baking and getting gloriously involved with outdoor activities. I firmly believe children learn best when they feel safe, curious, and free to discover the wonders of the world around them.
In my quest to continuously expand my knowledge, I will be commencing my Full Spectrum Doula training in March 2026 after being awarded a scholarship. The goal is to deepen my understanding of early development and family care. Subsequently, I wish to delve into beekeeping next year; this is just testament to my love for growth, nature, and lifelong learning.
I am available for both part and full-time positions and typically available from morning to afternoon, Monday through Friday (along with the occasional evening and overnights as well). I offer a range of services including but not limited to cooking, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, preparing meals for children, bathing and dressing the children, and adhering to special dietary rules. I also provide additional services like walking the dog and taking care of other pets, along with doing the family laundry.
I am comfortable taking care of two/three children at a time, within a live-out arrangement. As a non-smoker who can skillfully swim, drive, and owns a vehicle I can use on the job, safety is always assured.
A comprehensive criminal record check is readily available. Families tend to describe me as calm, dependable, and imaginative and I am committed to providing care tailored precisely to each child's needs.
Whether you are in search of a nanny, nanny/housekeeper, mother's helper, special needs caretaker, or babysitter, I am ready, capable, and more than happy to step in. I am ready to start immediately and I eagerly look forward to being a part of your family's journey!
