Mom lives in a long term care facility and has no visitors. I feel that she is not getting enough mental stimulation. She needs help feeding herself. She doesn't talk much but might be interested in engaging with someone who could sit with her while they work on their own crafts. She would also like fresh strawberries and blueberries every so often.

This involves arduous tasks like cooking, cleaning, and otherwise managing a household. Emily uses a wheel chair and a portable lift. She is able to stand, but not walk. The duties encompass activities such as changing diapers, Spa days, washing dishes, preparing food for day, and doing laundry. In addition, other responsibilities include cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting furniture, and taking out the trash and compost and recycling.

We are looking for multiple shift coverage care for my 65 year old father who lives with Parkinson’s disease. Tuesday and Thursday: 0830-1830 Monday-Thursday: 1900-2300 Saturday and/or Sunday: 1000-1700 These are separate shifts that could move to more hours if you are an excellent fit. You must be able to work in Canada and have a valid drivers license. Duties include: - administering overnight medication and preparing following day medication - overnight care including: getting him up for the washroom twice a night, assisting in the washroom, cleaning sheets as needed - ensuring he is in bed at a reasonable hour - overnight household tasks - encouraging movement/mobility during “off” times - housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry - completing short summary reports at the end of shift to identify important information (missed meds, falls, unusual behavior, etc.) About my dad: Energetic Funny Musical Outdoorsy Active He likes to exercise, dance, play guitar! Ideal candidate is efficient, professional, and patient. You would be a self starter who is good as a companion and care aid. A little backstory on my dad: he is a very young 64 year old who likes to laugh and joke around. Up until about 13 years ago, he would do the ride to conquer cancer every year (this is a bike ride from langley to Seattle!). He loves to play the guitar and listen to music. Music and dancing help him during his off periods. He’s an outdoorsman at heart who used to love biking, fishing and camping.

We are in search of a compassionate personal care aide to provide ADL care for a tracheostomy and ventilator dependent male in the Langley City Area. The position is in a private home. Preference will be given to experienced care aides who are licensed or certified. Responsibilities include: - Personal hygiene tasks such as showering, washing, toileting, dressing and grooming - Tube feeding - Medication assistance - Tracheostomy care - Ventilator management - Operating a ceiling lift Job Requirements: - Preference will be given to applicants with formal Care Aide training, but we are willing to train a suitable candidate - Current First Aid certification is required - Applicants must have a valid BC Driver's Licence - Applicants must have a solid command of the English language and be able to communicate and listen effectively - Applicants must have no history of criminal background Job Type: Full-time, part-time, permanent Salary: $264.00 per shift. Shifts are 12 hours long from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM Availability: Monday to Sunday. Employees can work either three or four 12-hour shifts per week. Also available are on-call night shifts from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
