Although still a young single lady without a biological child of my own yet, I love every child around me with so much feeling of responsibility for them and grew up to be so fond of children mostly ‘the girl child’. Over time I became more passionately deep drawn to children in 2016 September, when I met Gabriela Sunday a basic 9 female student at Charles Dale Memorial International School in Nigeria where I was working as a Hostel Parent/Guidance Counselor. Gabriela was a brilliant young adolescent girl, during the holiday, she accompanied her friend to a birthday party and in the process got raped. Out of fear, she couldn’t speak up which eventually resulted in unwanted pregnancy and dropping out of school. Her parents, who were poor but out of daily struggles to make ends meet sent her to school, were rather disappointed and heartbroken. Because they had no financial strength to deal with the culprit, he went free unpunished while intelligent Gabriela became a single mother, a school dropout, and her family’s faith for a better future shattered.
Gabriela’s story really challenged me towards a Career in the Non-governmental organizational world which are typically established bodies that work toward public or social welfare goals. Thus, my passion to study Masters in Nonprofit Management and Leadership at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Israel, and this MBA to be able to open an effective NGO that protects the social and mental well-being of children in helpless situations and the voiceless women who are mentally/emotionally damaged.
Conclusively, I am a believer in love and everyone deserves to be loved and cared for, absolutely no one especially children or women deserves otherwise. Love makes the world a better place, love heals.
I studied Home Economics in tertiary level of education, and after graduation, I taught Food and Nutrition practically in a Secondary school for three years.
Carried out practical cooking of varieties of African and continental dishes for my students to learn and exhibit the same practically.
I also worked as a chef and waitress in a fast growing fast fast restaurant in Nigeria called Chicken replic.
Home Economics at NCE (Nigerian Certificate of Education) level in (2004-2007)
