I am a 21 years old College Student looking for a part time work and looking into full time come April 2022. I have my own transportation and have my CPR Certificate up to date. I am also fully vaccinated + booster and can also provide Criminal Record Check and lots of references. I worked in a LTC Facility in Red Deer as a Temporary HCA for 9 months and also as a Private Caregiver for a 98 year old man for 13 months. I have a wide range of experiences with different clients and different needs.

I am Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. been living in Canada for almost 10 years now. I am graduated of Health Care Aide since 2016, I am compassionate and friendly person. Through my clinical and work rotations, I have had the opportunity to work in several settings, including Acute care hospital, the hamlets seniors community, long-term care like ( Cancer patient) (Dementia) (Palliative care ) and private home care. During these placements I learned a range of skills on the job, while developing the ability to think on my feet and learn by doing. My experiences enabled me to develop strong skills that prepare me for the challenges of Health Care Aide I am confident that I will continue to develop particularly as I provide care to a diverse patient population. I have also been able to develop knowledge in a range of practice settings and have been trained in problem-solving and clinical reasoning. Through my successful clinical assessment I have proven that I am competent and safe in the practice of clinical skills and I am able to work within legal and ethical standards of practice. I believe that I can apply the skills obtained from my education and experiences to this position. I am a health care aid graduate who is in search of job where I would be able to apply my skills and knowledge in regard to this field. I am a very compassionate person and a fast learner. Adaptable and trust worthy. I have so much passion in providing care to elderly people or those with disability, because I believe that all people are the same, what they just differ is the care that they need in life and how it is given to them. I am very understanding and has a lot of patience especially in trying to understand what is being tried to be understood. I also believe that each person deserves care given to them the way that they would have wanted themselves be treated. I used to work in restaurants and offices before I started school to be health care aid. The reason behind that shift of career was my eagerness and passion to learn more on how to take care of elder people or people with disability. Also, by being educated on this field, I would be able to apply those things personally in my elder loved ones or again those with disability. So, basically, what I am applying to what I am doing is the way I would have wanted those people I love be treated. I am the eldest of a family of three. Still single at my age since I have devoted my younger life in providing for younger siblings, whom I can say that I am very proud of the person they have become. My younger brother is working in a different country in a restaurant, while the youngest is a registered nurse back in my home country. My father used to be an x-ray technician before they have decided to just run a business with my mom. So basically, my family has enjoyed the privilege to be in the medical field. As for my personality, I love nature a lot. I love travelling and seeing new places and taking pictures. I love creating memories in my mind because I believe that that is one of those things I can consider my treasure that cannot be taken away from me. Aside from the inspiration of a very supportive family, friends and partner, that is where I am getting all the love that I can give. I love music, I love poetry and I am very appreciative of even the smallest thing in life. I came from a family oriented country, the Philippines.That means caring for other people especially vulnerable sector like elderly is very personal to me.I am passionate, caring and have thousand folds of patience.I can relate easily to people hence I treat them like my family too. At present, I have acquired almost 9 years of clinical experience in the acute emergency and surgical ward particularly in orthopedic, neurosurgery, ophthalmology and general surgery cases in the Philippines and the Middle East combined. I am tasked with managing the patient's clinical problem from admission to discharge, likewise providing helpful health education on how to achieve optimum recovery and how they can go back to their own lives. During this time, I've been recognized as a dedicated, positively ambitious, and reliable person who has the ability to work without supervision. I was also commended for proficiently handling difficult situations with staff, patients, and their family members.Apart from hospital affiliation, I do also part-time home care for the bedridden patient (post-stroke) doing hygiene care, wound care (bed sores and surgical wounds), providing a basic active and passive range of motion exercise, massage therapy, basic chest physiotherapy, feeding thru NGT(nasogastric tube), Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Tube, tracheostomy care, colostomy care, and many other nursing care.
