I have previously worked as a live in Pet sitter for two large huskys in CT USA as well as caring for a diabetic cat and I am currently dog walking here innCalgary a small pack semi private walks withe a wonderful dog and my own. I have had a cat and dogs almost my whole life. I have over 20 yrs + experience with walking small and medium sized dogs as well as house sitting and pet visits. I have cared for both dogs and cats with diabetes as well. I am apassionate and committed person with a small dog of my own as well. I am an avid dog lover. I've had family pets but got my first puppy when I was 15. She was completely my responsibility including her food, grooming, cleaning up after her and her vet bills. She sadly passed away from cancer in Feb 2023 and a piece of my heart went along with her. I've worked for a number of different positions that takes care of dogs. I started volunteering when I was around 12-years-old with breeder and that is where my experience started. I would help with training puppies, basic grooming, taking pictures for the groomer to put on her website and taking the dogs out for walks. I did an extensive amount of leash training with the new pups to desensitize them with the leash. Once I moved away, I started working at a dog daycare and was there for around 2-3 years. This was my first paid position with dogs. While I was in school, I would do overnight shifts with the boarding dogs. I've worked with all kinds of dogs (large, small, reactive, shy, hyper-active, ..). Afterwards, I had started at another dog daycare that took care of cats as well. I was happy to be able to expand and although I would consider myself a "dog person", I'm really just an animal lover in general. Some of my interests include reading and piano/singing. I've always been told that I have a restless soul and adore traveling. If I had all the money in the world, I would spend every penny on traveling. I worked as a Travel Consultant for about a year and that's how I figured out that I don't want to plan other people's trips, I just want to plan my own. Some attributes that I am proud of is that I have a lot of patience and a lot of love to give. Animals have always made a lot more sense to me than people and I love working with them. The times I am happiest is when I'm with animals, dogs in particular. I am very easy-going and really just want what's best for animals. Doggy Daycares and had volunteer with a breeder from 15-years-old to 18-years-old. I had to move away and that's why I had stopped.
