I am currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated full-time Live-In Caregiver for my 79-year-old mother who has been diagnosed with mild dementia. Even though she is self-reliant to a certain degree, she occasionally experiences bouts of confusion and could use some assistance. Given her cultural background, I would greatly appreciate a caregiver of Indian descent, preferably Gujarati, who can avail themselves throughout the week, specifically every morning, evening, and night (except midday on weekdays when she attends the local senior center). Despite her regular routine at the senior center from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm on weekdays, I am particularly concerned about her wellbeing during the night and early in the morning when her confusion tends to intensify. The successful applicant should have a valid driver’s license as they may be required to use the family car for job-related tasks. The role involves planning various recreational activities such as outings and visits to neighbors, friends, and family members to keep her engaged. Alzheimer/Dementia Care is a significant aspect of this role and requires supervision at home to ensure her safety and comfort. This full-time position demands a commitment of more than 50 hours per week, and we are eager to have the position filled immediately. Having previous experience working with dementia patients will be beneficial for carrying out these responsibilities efficiently. Looking forward to welcoming an empathetic and professional caregiver into our family home who can provide the necessary care and companionship for my mother while respecting her independence and dignity. Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to your application.

I'm seeking a companion for my mother, who's a senior woman living with dementia. Although dementia scars her everyday life, she does not require nursing and cherishes her independence. The chosen candidate must have a valid driver's license and be willing to use their own car for accompanying her to appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands. The preferred start date is immediate. A part-time commitment is ideal, with expected working hours ranging from 20 to 30 per week. This typically includes every morning from Monday to Sunday. You're not expected to live-in, making this a live-out position perfect for locals or those who prefer to commute. The core responsibilities would revolve around providing companionship and ensuring her comfort. This includes offering grooming assistance, such as bathing and dressing; supervising other tasks in the house, like cleaning the bathroom and washing the dishes; helping with laundry; and even assisting with pet care. She often forgets to eat so she will need assistance with meal planning and preparation too. It's crucial to note that she will benefit more from a companion who is patient, understanding, and has experience or is willing to work with individuals living with dementia. If you believe you're a kind, patient listener who can provide emotional support and a link to the outside world for my mother, consider joining us. Every bit of love, care, and support counts. This role promises to be rewarding and fulfilling personally for anyone who desires a close and respectful relationship with the elderly population. If you are interested, please reach out and share some information about your experiences. Looking forward to hearing from you!
