I was born in Toronto but raised globally. I'm of South Asian and South American descent. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Tamil and have a working knowledge of French as well. I moved to Colombia in 2013 and recently moved back to Canada. While in Colombia I fostered many cats and dogs to prepare them to be adoption ready. I am very passionate about the safety and well being of animals. I have quite a bit of experience handling special cases of traumatized animals that had to be rehabilitated and learn to trust humans again. I cherish every opportunity I've had to help take care of pets no matter their size, age or background. Being physically active and healthy is very important to me and I make sure that I am capable of keeping up with the most energetic of furry friends. I thoroughly enjoy learning in any capacity whether it be through reading, watching shows, or real world experience, so if your pet comes with a learning curve, I'm your girl! In my past jobs I've done the 2 in 1 combo of house sitting and taking care of the pets in the home. More often than not there were 2 or more pets at a time. My experience is primarily with dogs and cats of all sizes, mostly rescues. Many of them came with some level of anxiety and behavioural difficulties due to whatever traumas they faced before they were rescued. In every scenario I was able to earn the pet's trust pretty easily and all that was left was making sure to adhere to dietary restrictions, being mindful of certain behavioural cues and stressors, sticking to their walk schedules and making sure they felt safe and secure at all times. I've worked with quite a few larger dogs like labradors and german shepherds. I am very comfortable working with bully breeds, even the ones that may seem intimidating or aggressive. I am equally comfortable working with smaller terriers and pinschers. I love all cats. I once cared for a partially blind very recently rescued cat who was very anxious but with a little patience and a lot of love she was, of course, an absolute sweetheart.
