My name is Blair and I live in Toronto but I also own a house in Victoria, BC where I grew up.The house is in Gordon Head and I rent it out to Uvic students as the home is close by the University. As well, I did my undergraduate degree at Uvic so I can empathize with the students. During the summer months, they have returned to their respective home towns in Alberta for summer jobs. I did not want to leave the house unoccupied and as well, the insurance company won't let you do that so I sent one of my sons there for the summer to house sit. He is enjoying Victoria very much but he doesn't drive and would like to get out and about a bit while he in there. I would like to hire a driver to take him out and to run errands. For example, take him to Island View Beach or to Thetis Lake - places where I used to hang out in my day. We are flexible with the time schedule although it will be primarily during daylight hours - likely afternoons. The pickup time from home would be 9:45 a.m. in Brentwood Bay and the pickup time from school would be 3:05 p.m. (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) and 2:35 p.m. (Wednesdays and Fridays). For consideration: the trip from home to school is under 15 minutes, therefore, if the driver is open to being assigned other tasks, either in the home (e.g. cleaning) or outside of the home (e.g. grocery shopping) this could be discussed and negotiated, as part of an hourly rate.
