I am 27 years old and originally from Ukraine. I have been living in Montreal for the past 8 months. Before moving here, I worked in journalism and marketing, but after discovering the Montessori approach to education, I found a new passion for working with children. My experience at a Montessori school has been incredibly rewarding, and it has inspired me to pursue a career in childcare.
Growing up, I also had the responsibility of taking care of my younger sister when I was just 10 years old. This experience gave me an early foundation in caregiving and helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and nurturing qualities.
Creativity is one of my core values, and I love engaging in activities that allow me to express myself and help others do the same. In my free time, I enjoy painting, clay modeling, knitting, and exploring any creative projects. At the Montessori school, I had the opportunity to guide children in various artistic activities, and it brought me immense joy to see them express themselves through art.
I also enjoy leading an active lifestyle. I love hiking and running, and I’m excited to continue discovering new sports and activities here in Montreal. I believe that combining physical activity with creativity is essential for children's development, and I am always eager to explore new ways to keep them engaged and active.
I approach my work with a nurturing and patient mindset, always striving to create a positive and supportive atmosphere for children. With my background in creative fields, hands-on experience in a Montessori setting, and early caregiving experience with my younger sister, I am confident in my ability to provide a caring and engaging environment for children. I am passionate about childcare and excited to bring my energy and creativity to a new family, helping to foster both learning and personal growth.
I worked as an Evening School Teacher and Assistant at a Montessori school for six months, where I was the sole teacher responsible for taking care of children aged 5-7 years in the evening. I ensured the children were safe, engaged, and supported in a nurturing environment. My responsibilities included providing meals according to their dietary needs, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and assisting with daily chores.
I also spent a lot of time outside with the children, organizing activities that allowed them to explore nature, stay active, and develop social skills. In addition, I created a variety of creative activities, such as drawing, arts and crafts, and music, to keep them engaged and encourage their imagination. I also helped them improve their English language skills through interactive lessons.
I developed strong, trusting relationships with both the children and staff, and my calm, patient demeanor helped create a positive, respectful atmosphere. My ability to provide attentive care, foster learning, and manage daily routines makes me well-suited for a nanny position, and I am excited to bring my experience and dedication to a new role.
