I’m Alyssa, I’m 21 and I just recently moved to Midland. I am an experienced and dedicated nanny with a passion for fostering children’s growth and well-being. With 10 years of childcare experience, I understand the unique needs of each child and strive to create a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for them to thrive in.
🧘🏼♀️A Bit About Me: I’m a firm believer that childhood is a precious and pivotal time, and my goal is to provide a nurturing space where your little ones can explore, learn, and develop their personalities. I love yoga, dogs, coffee, and spending quality time with friends and family. With some background in Early Childhood Education, and Psychology, I blend knowledge with creativity to ensure that each day is filled with exciting activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and social growth, and most importantly, FUN!
🤗My Method: As your child’s second caregiver, I prioritize open communication and collaboration with parents to tailor my care to your family’s unique values and routines. Safety, to me, is crucial and paramount, and you can trust that I maintain a clean and secure environment while also encouraging age-appropriate independence. From interactive play and educational games to outdoor adventures and arts and crafts, I aim to spark curiosity and happiness in every child I care for.
📚Learning Through Play!: I took a course at Humber College called “Children, Play, and Creativity, ” and it made me believe/learn that children learn best when they’re having fun. So, I like to encourage and incorporate educational components into daily activities that nurture cognitive skills through storytelling, creative expression, and counting games. Whether it’s to explore nature, play games or read storybooks, I’m devoted to facilitating holistic development in a joyous way.
🕰️ Flexibility: I understand that life can be so unpredictable, so I am here to provide you and your family with the support you need. My schedule is very flexible, so you can count on me to be there when needed!
⭐️ Not only am I a caregiver, I am a part in your child’s journey. I strive to promote a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment, and aim to inspire confidence and curiosity.

I have worked with children 1:1, but also have taken care of large groups of children (8+). I studied Early Childhood Education for 5 months at Humber College, where I got to learn about the physical, emotional, and psychological development of children aged 0-6.
