I am a 21 yrs old Filipino, Oldest daughter of family of 5. I am currently studying Architecture in University of Manitoba. In my spare time, I clean my room, watch movies, spend time with my family and read. I like keeping myself busy so I try looking for things to do but do the most important thing first and work my way down. I do biweekly reset which includes writing down what i need done for school on school days, cleaning & organizing my room and pay for bills I need paid for the month. I always try my best to spend time with my family, make time for my friends and also have time for myself. I like homecooked foods, though sometimes due to circumstances I need to buy food from outside, my family always try and use up all ingredients we have. Though my parents doesnt travel as much for work anymore my siblings grew up with me taking care of them so until now they still ask me for help and favours and I try help them the best I can. I learned a lot at a young age and I want to put that knowledge to use.
I grew up taking care of my younger cousins and siblings. With my cousins, i would teach them basic knowledge like abc's, basic math while making it entertaining for them using toys. I would play with them, make them snacks and put them to sleep if needed. For my baby cousins, I would make their milk, feed them, keep them entertained, keep them safe and put them to sleep. After moving to Canada, my parents had to work a lot. I'm always left with my siblings alone. I would remind them to do homeworks and help them if needed, reminding them to shower and making them food were my main tasks. We moved to Steinbach from Winnipeg 5 years ago, my parents had to work harder to pay for our house and any other living expenses. They would be gone for 2 weeks come back and leave again after 1-2 days. I was 16 yrs old then, and I was left to take care of my younger siblings. I made them food for the whole day, kept them organized for school, taught them good manners for weekdays (school days) like going to sleep around 8pm-9pm and basically be their parent while being a good student myself.
currently a student at University of Manitoba pursuing Architecture
