I would describe myself as honest, caring, observant, reliable, respectful and a very patient and calm personality person .Over the years i worked in areas where we have to deal with different people of different personalities. Honestly, i always have giving and helping personality.My first experience as senior caregiver was my own grandmother who had dementia.Her Dementia was not too severe, so we had some great times together, even celebrating Her Birthdays, New Year’s and many more. But with any level of dementia, there are extra demands on an in-home care provider. The job (though not for pay) was full time, 24-hours a day. She lived in a family house in a village, so, thankfully, i would prepare her meals . I always liked cooking so it was more fun.I would help her with meeting Doctors, her medicines as prescribed by doctors on time, making sure she takes shower, and sending her to bed.While she takes rest i would start tidying up, clean the house and do her laundry and watch movies and shows with her.
