My name is Egan, but most people call me Egg. I have over ten years of experience working with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. While I’ve worked in a variety of childcare roles, I also have extensive experience as a tutor, helping students develop confidence in their learning. I have worked in one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, and educational support roles across different subjects. My background includes working with neurodivergent students (Autism, ADHD, OCD, Tourette’s) and students with disabilities (Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other complex needs). I tailor my tutoring approach to fit each child's unique learning style, ensuring that they feel supported and engaged. I focus on hands-on, interactive learning rather than passive memorization, using creative methods to make learning enjoyable and effective. My goal is to help students not only improve their academic skills but also build confidence and a love for learning. A little about me—I grew up as the eldest daughter of nine siblings, so teaching and mentoring have always been a part of my life. I’m currently studying at UVic and working toward my ECE certification. I have a strong understanding of child development and different learning styles, which helps me create effective and personalized tutoring plans.
