My name is Taylor. My background is half Caucasian and half Chinese. Both my parents work in the education system so I am very up to date with the current curriculum. My mom is a kindergarten teacher and my dad is an elementary school principal. Both my younger brothers are in high school and I often find myself helping them with homework as well. My younger cousins are currently in preschool up to grade 5 so I am also well versed in the different learning styles. I believe what works best for one student isn’t always what works best for another, so it’s my job to find the way that works best for them. Apart from school, I participate in soccer, dance, skiing as well as acting. If you turn on the television you might catch me on the big screen!

I have taught English to foreign students from China and Japan during a Coquitlam International Education summer program. I also have much younger cousins who I have taught on occasion as well as younger neighbours who struggled in subjects like Math and Science.

I am currently an undergraduate student attending the University of British Columbia. I am studying Applied Animal Biology working towards my Bachelor of Science degree with hopes to attend Veterinary School in the coming years.
