My name is Asleema. I was born and raised in Toronto and currently residing in the North York area. I’m a part time college student and passionate and experienced with working alongside young children in the education field. My experience with childcare and tutoring begun in 2021 where I babysat three children aged 5-10. I looked after them during afterschool time where I would tend to their needs and tutor the two older children with English. During 2022, I took a cooperative education class and my placement was at North Bridlewood Jr public school in a first grade class room. I was placed here February until June. My role was being teachers assistant, although I primarily focused on teaching English as a second language. For the summers of 2023 and 2024, I worked full time at PedalHeads bike camp in Markham. I led and took care of groups of children aged 1 - 13. I graduated with my highschool diploma in June 2024, and started my first year studying ECE in September later that year.

I’ve done babysitting during 2021, looking after three children aged 5, 7, and 10. In early 2022, I completed cooperative education at a TDSB school in a 1st grade classroom as a teachers assistant. I mainly taught English as a second language during this placement. For the summer of 2023 and 2024, I was an instructor at pedalheads bike camp, training and taking care of children aged 1 - 13. I am in my first year of Early childhood education studies at Centennial College right now.
